Let
me guide you through my very special and historic
neigbourhood. It’s a quiet part of the centre, fortunatelly
still quite hidden! The islands used to be THE shipyard-area
of the city, founded in the 17th century, when Amsterdam
was booming and ruled the seas.
Today it is still all about
boats and water. During our walk around the main-canal I
will tell and show you about ancient times. We will also
hop on of the big houseboats for a coffee-break. We end
where we started:
our beautifull windmill the Gooyer. Nextdoor is
Beerbrewery ''het IJ'', hotspot for the locals. No
better way to end you're experience with tasting a
delicous home-made beer!
Tip: to make you're experience complete, have a
lovely diner at ''Langendijk'', also nextdoor the
windmill!

citywalk starts
